Blind Sports Australia have taken the first step to select an initial Australian Blind Football training squad that the potential to represent Australia at the 2018 IBSA Blind Football World Cup in Madrid, Spain. Blind Football is a 5 a side game played with 4 totally blind or B1 category athletes and a fully sighted Goalkeeper who also acts as a defensive coach on field. 

This first ever National Training Camp will teach skills and drills that can be implemented by coaches in each state and broaden opportunities for totally blind participants looking to represent their country in international competition. 

Also at this camp will be the first ever interstate 5 a side B2/B3 games played between rivals NSW and VIC. This will allow for a possible Australian 5 a side legally blind (10% or less vision or 20 degree field or less) to be considered for selection in a team in the IBSA 2019 World Games. 

This camp is mixed for ages 13 and up and will be run Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 10am-4pm. 

Please note if you are interested in coming along but unable to make this camp, additional camps will be run in other states in the near future.
