During Term 2 of 2016 Blind Sports NSW launched its “ACTIVATE INCLUSION” program, aimed at students 8-18yrs in the primary sports of Paralympic Goalball, Blind Cricket, Vision Impaired Tennis, Futsal & Touch Football. In just 6 days (3 metro & 3 regional) in NSW we had over 200 students with blindness and Vision Impairment participate in the program.
From February 2015 through to June 2016 our Multi Sports days have established increased participation across a range of activities including Surfing, Tandem Cycling, Yoga, Tug of War & Ocean Swimming. In the coming months a relaunch of this popular program will be completed with more recreation and social activities planned.

Community Vision

This program was born of sport and the need for people with blindness and vision impairment who didn’t already play sport to become involved. These days were held regionally in 2015 at Wollongong, Orange & Newcastle in addition to a number of Sydney Metro days being held in Strathfield & Sydney Olympic Park. In 2016/17 this program will focus on social recreation and include social based activities including tandem cycling, walking, yoga, beach activities & camping activities. Please click HERE to see when the next Community Vision days are and suggest some activities in our feedback box found in the about us section of this website.
